Qualcomm Says Apple Stole Its Chip Secrets and Gave Them to Intel

Qualcomm has accused Apple of stealing its chip secrets and selling them to Intel to help the latter improve its modems and chipsets being used in the iPhones. The world's leading mobile chip maker says Apple took confidential information and trade secrets based on an agreement with Qualcomm and gave it to Intel engineers, according to a court filing.

Qualcomm hopes the court will amend allegations in its existing lawsuit against Apple accusing it of breaching the so called master software agreement that Apple signed with the company. Qualcomm's general counsel, Donald Rosenberg, said, "Unlawful use of Qualcomm's valuable trade secrets to try to help a competitor catch up irreparably harms us and must not be allowed to continue."
