Android One Activations Grew 250% in 2018, Says Google
Google has revealed that the presence of Android One in the low-end segment has grown exponentially over the past year. According to the company, Android One activations grew 250 percent year over year, thanks largely to devices from Xiaomi, LG, Motorola and HMD Global.
"With the addition of the Nokia 9 PureView, Nokia 3.2, Nokia 4.2 and more, Android One will continue to bring people a consistent smartphone experience that’s fresh and secure", said the company.
Google further said that over 50 percent of 'entry-level' Android devices are now running Android (Go Edition). It isn't immediately clear however, as to how the company is categorizing 'entry-level'.
